Summer programs offer a chance for youngsters to learn more about science and the arts and to stoke their creativity and connect with the natural world in a way that a traditional classroom never could. - Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture - 2316 W 1st Ave, Spokane, WA 99201
One of Spokane's most eclectic museums, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture offers a broad spectrum of exhibits and programs that revolve around local and regional art, culture, and history. Just minutes from these Spokane homes for sale, the museum houses more than a million artifacts and archival materials and offers hands-on programs and classes for all ages on subjects ranging from painting to local history. Current exhibitions include An American Original: The Life and Work of John James Audubon, which runs through September 2021.
- Corbin Art Center - 507 W 7th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204
The Corbin Art Center has been providing fun and in-depth art classes and programs for kids of all ages (and adults too) for more than 50 years. It's become one of Spokane's most beloved art establishments and has given countless young artists their start. Art classes and workshops are divided into various age groups, exploring topics ranging from drawing and painting to mixed media and holiday-themed art events. They also offer summer camps in partnership with the City of Spokane Parks & Recreation.
- Twin Eagles Wilderness School - 1023 Wood View Rd, Sandpoint, ID 83864
With a mission to build community and teach kids valuable outdoor skills while connecting more deeply with nature, Twin Eagles Wilderness School is one of the great outdoor adventure camps in the region. The school offers immersive summer camps that help kids learn self-awareness and self-reliance. It's a lot of fun too, and includes skills like tracking animals, starting a fire from friction, identifying edible plants, and traditional archery. Although based in Sandpoint, ID, Twin Eagles Wilderness School offers summer programs in several nearby cities, Spokane included.

One of the great youth resources in the Spokane area, the Northeast Youth Center provides a fun and engaging summer camps for children of all ages. Offerings include Camp Alotta Fun, available weekly and monthly, which includes field trip adventures, crafts, and recreational activities for ages 5 to 12. For younger kids in the 2 ½ to 5 age group, the Early Learners Academy includes a wide range of fun educational activities that aid in the development and prepare young children for kindergarten.
- Mobius Discovery Center - 331 N Post St, Spokane, WA 99201
The Mobius Discovery Center has blended the best aspects of a play-based children's museum and an inquiry-based science center to create some truly unique opportunities for children to learn and explore the world of science. The programs here are designed to ignite curiosity and spark the imagination, giving kids opportunities to enjoy learning about everything from plants and animals to physics and chemistry. The Mobius Discovery Center is currently offering both in-person and virtual programs.
