Kayaking in Spokane

Whether you prefer your time on the water to be relaxing or exciting, there's a paddlesport option for you. During the summer months, our real estate agents love exploring Spokane-area waterways using kayaks, rafts, and stand-up paddleboards.

Enjoy some fun out on the water with a rental or guided trip from these spots around Spokane.

  1. FLOW Adventures - 2807 W. Euclid Ave., Spokane, WA 99205
How much fun are the people at FLOW Adventures? Owners Jon and Jeanie Wilmot bestowed their dog Stella with the official title of "Extra Food Disposal." Since 2005, when the Wilmots ran the business from their basement, they've been "creating adventurous memories" for outdoor lovers near Spokane homes for sale. FLOW conducts rafting, tubing and kayaking trips along the Spokane and Salmon Rivers, or you can rent the apparatus and choose your own course. The fun doesn't stop in the winter when FLOW offers daytime and sunset snowshoe excursions.

  2. Fun Unlimited - 414 E. 1st Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854
With a name like Fun Unlimited, how can you go wrong? Locations in Post Falls and underneath the Division Street Bridge in Spokane provide easy access to a variety of experiences. The Spokane location rents stand-up paddleboards and kayaks in one-, two- and four-hour increments, with afternoon and evening specials. 24-hour and weekly rental rates are also available. If you have a need for speed, the Post Falls location rents jet skis as well as wake surf, deck, and pontoon boats. Plus, it's close to many wonderful Post Falls homes for sale

  3. ROW Adventure Center - 209 S. Washington, Spokane, WA 99201
ROW Adventure Center has probably the best endorsement a paddlesport business could get. Each year, National Geographic has named RAC's parent company, ROW Adventures, as one of the "Best Adventure Travel Companies on Earth." Guided by a mission of "Sharing Nature - Enriching Lives," RAC has helped tens of thousands of people discover the glorious sights of nature in Washington and Idaho. Popular rafting and kayaking locations include Spokane, St. Joe, Moyie, Clearwater and Selway Rivers as well as Lake Coeur d'Alene. Half- and full-day trips are offered, along with sunset and "happy hour" options.

  4. Pangaea River Rafting - Ruby River Hotel, 700 N. Division St., Spokane, WA 99202
A cross-country cycling trip inspired Brooke Baunsgard and David Lawrence to share the joys of relationships forged in the great outdoors. After purchasing an existing adventure company, they transformed it into Pangaea River Rafting and expanded the trip selections to appeal to a broader demographic. "Leave Boring Behind" with scenic or wine-tasting rafting trips along the Spokane River. Pangaea will also create upgraded trips customized to your specific requests.

  5. Wiley E. Waters - 1701 W. Water Ave., Spokane, WA 99201
The company may share its name with a cartoon character, but trips offered by Wiley E. Waters are thrillingly real. Choose from family-friendly whitewater trips or scenic floats in Riverside State Park. Adults aged 21 and over can join their friends on a fun-filled wine & dine trip featuring locally-produced wines. Expand your horizons, literally and figuratively, with a half-day scenic trip down the Grande Ronde River in southeast Washington.

Spokane's proximity to water is just one of the reasons that make it an ideal location for your dry-land home. If you're buying or selling a house, contact us at Coldwell Banker Tomlinson for dedicated and knowledgeable assistance.
